Occupational Therapists are trained to help children with a variety of meaningful activities! An occupation for kids is play, socializing, attending school or whatever meaningful things occupy their time.

Some things our OT's help with include
Emotional regulation
Sensory processing skills
Social skills
Executive functioning skills
Establishing routines
Suggesting equipment or supplies for home to improve the environment
Interoception (the ability to sense what our body is feeling at any given moment)
Feeding (OT Emily)
Transition to adulthood
Fine Motor skills (handwriting, cutting with scissors, dressing etc)
Learning how to modify play and fun activities for kids with disabilities
and more!
Shine Therapy Services is THE spot for kids OT in West Kelowna. Our OT's currently don't have a wait-list as of early July 2026. Please send us an email or book online if you're interested in OT support!
