About Us

Shine Therapy Services offers home visits to people in the unceded territory of the Syilx/Okanagan people and telehealth from wherever you are. We also now have a physical clinic location in West Kelowna! Catherine MacGillivray has special interest areas in pediatric physio and pelvic health for both kids and adults. Shine Therapy Services works hard to be a safe space for gender affirming care we and hope to improve accessibility to inclusive physiotherapy.  We are located on the unceded and stolen land of the Syilx Okanagan people in West Kelowna. Shine is deeply committed to anti-racism, decolonization, truth and reconciliation.

ACCESSIBILITY

There is a ramp and disabled parking within a few meters of the clinic front door. The front door does not open automatically (hoping to get this in the future!). Shine has a wheelchair accessible, gender neutral bathroom. We have fire extinguishers, emergency lights and fire safety inspected and as up to date as of February 2024. Mostly LED lights with a few fluorescents. At this point, Catherine is the only practitioner at Shine so you will have the space entirely to yourself during your appointment. This may change in the future when we bring on other therapists. While the clinic is next to the highway, the building is pretty quiet outside of the dull laughter and sound of children playing at the daycare next door.
