Meet Our Pediatric OT, Emily!

Emily (she/her) is our superstar OT and we asked her a few questions so you can get to know her better!

What made you want to be an OT for kids?

One of the hallmarks of OT is creativity and working with kids really allows that side of things to shine! Kids are also hilariously honest and that always gives me a good laugh.

Do you have any pets?

A super cute cat named Milk

 What is your favourite part about living in the Okanagan?

I love how much there is to do outdoors in every season and that the winters are much more mild compared to growing up and living in Ontario!

 Do you have a favourite game or toy at Shine?

I definitely love the scooter board but I’m realizing I need to work on my own balance

What is your favourite ice cream flavour?

Cookies & Cream

How do you relax and recharge your batteries outside of work?

I love a good long walk, paddle boarding in the summers, and getting cozy with a good book.
